Used dustcover hinges work just as well as new ones, right? So save your money and buy these used hinges for the Technics SL1200MK2. Remember: you need two for each turntable!

Please Note: The SL1200M3D, SL1200MK5, SL1200M5G, etc do not use the hinges, and do not have a hinge receptacle on the back of the turntable. These versions of the SL1200 have a rubber foot on the dust cover in place of the hinge.

While you can put a rubber foot in place of a hinge on an SL1200mk2, putting a hinge on one of the other versions of an SL1200 that has a rubber foot won't do you any good without the hinge receptacle on the turntable! (Incidently, those hinge receptacles are no picnic to install and are sold separately)
